This is a story about a musical family. "We all love music", begins a young percussionist. When she plays with her father, a cellist, she taps the triangle. With her sister's marching band, she crashes cymbals together. At her aunt's jazz show, she taps a woodblock.
Lively cut-paper illustrations depict this diverse, joyous family dancing, strumming, drumming and fiddling their way through a tour of major musical styles--everything from classical string quartets, to rock and roll, to the youngest niece banging on pots and pans. They love music--and most of all, they love to celebrate and play it together. I know you will love the story and my read aloud video as well:)

A good quality read for an emerging reader, but contains some important info about Mozart's childhood and formative years.
Wow, what a fun little book, perfect for the beginning readers. This is a cumulative tale from Chile that begins with a hen and ends with sixteen different animals and a guitar.
Worth checking out, and I am especially proud of the read aloud video I have made, where I have included the animals' sounds - super entertaining! After being scolded by his young owner, the little dog with his ears cut short and his tail cut long runs away from home. When the little dog's adventures climbing a mountain, surfing in the sea, and riding in a rodeo go awry, the little dog decides to return to the one place he loves best. With a wagging tail and a joyful heart, the little dog is home to stay with the little girl who loves him best.
This all-new adventure for the itsy bitsy spider has exciting encounters with a fan, a mouse, a rocking chair, a cat, and a big maple tree. Finally, the itsy bitsy spider finds a lovely spot to spin a new silky web.
Iza Trapani's vibrant illustrations paired with a playful rhythm makes this new take on an old favorite feel like an instant classic. A perfect read-aloud; children will enjoy time and again the delightful antics of the energetic itsy bitsy spider. And of course, do not forget to sing along with the song lyrics and sheet music at the end of this lovely book. Climb aboard, read, and sing along with this adorable family of bumbling bears as they "row, row, row their boat" on a merry adventure in this beloved nursery rhyme. Hold on to your hats and get ready to laugh as these irresistible characters rock, bash, and splash their way into your heart.
Iza Trapani brings a fresh spin to this classic song with new verses and sweet and vibrant illustrations. Young readers will recognize the song and delight in seeing it come to life as the bears paddle their way through each and every page. And of course, there is a song and sheet music at the end of the book, so that you can sing along to. Join the rambunctious teapot as she gets all steamed up just waiting to share her imaginative adventures with you. Grab your coat as you sail down the river on a boat to China, run off to Mexico to fight a bull, race with the hounds on a fox hunt, and hide deep in the jungle where no one will find you.
Join me with the little "Tea-Time" in my Music classroom. It is a sad moment when a young boy discovers he doesn't have enough money to buy the waggely tailed dog he sees in the pet store window. All this little boy desires is to make some money to buy the dog of his dreams!
Misadventures follow and by the end of the week the boy has less money than when he started. Thinking he will just say hello to the doggie in the window, the little boy finds the dog is gone. Someone else has bought the dog for a very special son to thank him for all the nice things he has done. Who could that lucky boy be? This story as irresistible and a must have! I absolutely love it, not only for the music and the illustrations, but for the morals and the teachable storyline! This is another Iza Trapani's books in my collection. This book's retelling of this favorite nursery rhyme features a determined gardener and a lively cast of critters who eat all her plants and vegetables. Delightful art depicts the antics of the mischievous animals as they lead the gardener on a chase 'round the mulberry bush. Again, the sheet music and the lyrics are at the back, and I used them to sing with my music class students.
This charming story told in lyrical verse will inspire young readers to share the best of themselves. An industrious black sheep has wool aplenty, but little else for her friends. Horse needs hay, Mouse needs cheese, and Pig needs slop, but the poor Black Sheep has none of these. When her dissatisfied friends confront Sheep about her inability to share, they find that their lovely friend has knitted a special gift for each of them with her very own wool. Clever illustrations reveal delightful surprises as endearing new characters frolic from page to page in bold, generous color. The song lyrics and sheet music are included in the back.
