"Mortimer" musical story is a fun activity that involves reading a story, playing instruments and singing all at the same time. Students are placed in five groups and are given five different sets of instruments. As the teacher reads the story the students are prompted to play the instruments during the specific times. All students are definitely able to be involved at all times during this fun activity!

"Because" is a book written by Mo Willems, a number one New York Times best-selling author. It composes a powerful symphony of chance, discovery, persistence, and magic in a moving tale of a young girl's journey to center stage. Illustrator Amber Ren brings Willems' music to life, conducting a stunning picture-book debut. I have made a Google Slides presentation that could be used as a lesson plan. Check it out :)
In my Music class curriculum my 10 YOC are learning about the music that celebrates the African-American heritage. I have made this Google slides presentation to help facilitate the process and for me to have all of my resources in one handy slide!

In my Music class curriculum my 9 YOC are learning about the music from the British Isles. I have made this Google slides presentation to help facilitate the process and for me to have all of my resources in one handy slide!
Wow, this has been such an intense labor of love! I have spent days and hours working on these presentations. This is geared specifically to the Substitute teachers, so all they have to do is click on a particular class and start the presentation for the students. All the activities featured in this presentation could be done as an individual student project (on students' own devices) or as a group activity where the teacher serves as a facilitator of the activities. They are all super self-explanatory, definitely worth checking out and using in your classes!

Tiddalik, the Frog is the Aboriginal story retold on bbc.co.uk. The story is told in two short video episodes for 6-9 year-old students. Tiddalik is so thirsty he drinks all the water in the stream, the river and the billabong... until the land is completely dry. What will all the other animals do? There are two songs to be learned and I have compiled them all into this handy google slides.

My First Classical Music Book introduces students to the orchestra instruments and 8 famous composers. It comes with the CD of sounds, which I have compiled all into the Google Slides presentation along with the pictures/additional videos/tutorials. This is a great no prep lesson plan for Music teachers and the Music Subs.

My First Orchestra Book is an amazing book by Naxos. It talks about a journey of Tormod, the Troll who takes a trip around the world to hear more music. He learns, as well as your students will, about the Orchestra instruments. This book is wonderfully written and comes with the CV. I have added the sounds/pictures from the book/videos and have made this Google slide. This is definitely an easy follow for any substitute teacher, or a great no prep lesson plan for the 6-10 year-old students.
